Product features

  • The System 14 hitch housing forms part of a furniture joining system, designed to create secure and discreet joints between 20 mm-thick panels.
  • To install it, a hole with a diameter of 14 mm and a depth of 15 mm must be machined into the furniture, ensuring the housing fits precisely. The housing also incorporates a ring with a diameter of 16 mm and a thickness of 1 mm.
  • Assembly is completed by purchasing the piston separately, along with an EU M8 screw to secure the piston to the housing and, if desired, a cover plate.
  • Once installed, the system allows for a concealed assembly, keeping the joint integrated within the furniture to achieve a clean finish.
  • Made from Zamak with a zinc-plated finish.

Components

1 Housing fitting

The System 14 housing forms part of a furniture joining system designed to achieve strong, precise and concealed joints, whilst maintaining a clean aesthetic in the furniture. The range offers different variants to suit board thicknesses of 18, 20 and 25 mm. All models require a 14 mm diameter hole to be drilled, whilst the depth varies between 14.5 and 17.5 mm depending on the version. The housing also incorporates a 16 mm diameter ring, 1 mm thick. To complete the system, the corresponding piston and screw must be purchased separately; these are available with either EU M8x1 or EU M8 threads, depending on the variant. An optional cover plate can also be fitted to enhance the overall finish. Once assembled, System 14 allows the joint to be concealed inside the cabinet, offering a practical and discreet solution for assembling panels. Manufactured from Zamak with a zinc plated finish, it provides a durable and functional solution for the manufacture and assembly of furniture.

What presentation does this product offer for industrial installations?

The plunger with ring is available in packs of 1000 pieces, allowing efficient supply for production lines, distributors and high volume assembly.

Does this plunger allow invisible joints in modular structures?

Yes, its compact design allows it to be integrated into the panel, concealing the junction point and guaranteeing an aesthetic finish, ideal for high-end furniture or visible installations.

What type of screw is compatible with this plunger to ensure optimum fixation?

This plunger has been specifically designed to be used with M8x1 threaded hook-in screws, which ensures a robust and precise connection between panels in the System 14 and 18 system.

What are the advantages of zinc-plated zamak?

The use of zamak provides high mechanical strength, while the zinc-plated finish protects against corrosion, making it a durable solution for applications in demanding environments.

What dimensions does the hole have to have for a correct installation?

The pre-bore must have a diameter of 16 mm and a depth of 15.6 mm for the plunger to fit correctly and be 9 mm away from the centre of the bolt hole, thus ensuring accurate alignment.
