The Emuca RF transmitter with wireless Smart door LED sensor is a proximity switch that allows the LED light to be switched on automatically when a door is opened and switched off when the door is closed. This device operates by radio frequency and has a rechargeable lithium battery, eliminating the need to replace batteries.
This transmitter turns on the light when its detection range of 5 cm is interfered with when a hinged or pivoting door is opened or closed. Its main advantage is that it can be used in two-door cabinets, thanks to its 2 lenses. The sensor is placed in the middle so that each lens interferes with a door, turning on the light regardless of which door is opened, and keeping the light on until both doors are closed.
This device acts as a transmitter, sending a radio frequency signal to the Smart RF receiver (sold separately) which can be hidden at a distance of up to 8 metres. Each RF door transmitter can be paired with up to 10 receivers, and each receiver can receive signals from up to 10 transmitters, offering maximum flexibility for projects with multiple light points.
Pairing between transmitter and receiver is quick thanks to the integrated buttons, and can be deleted with a 10-second press. It also incorporates a learning button that allows transmitters to be linked together without accessing the receiver, ideal for installations that have already been carried out or that are difficult to access.
The 500mAh battery is recharged via USB-C, using a standard 5V DC charger. Full charge time is approximately 3 hours with a 5V 2A charger. A full charge offers an autonomy of up to 700 on/off cycles, or up to 18 months in stand-by mode if the transmitter is switched off using the integrated ON/OFF switch (recommended for prolonged periods of inactivity). The battery has a lifespan of approximately 500 full charge cycles.
It is made of black plastic and is compatible with Smart converters and 12V DC or 24V DC LED luminaires. To facilitate installation, it includes an adhesive metal base with integrated magnets, which allows the transmitter to be easily attached and removed for recharging, or even to change its position or activate it from another location.
